Discover the power of nature…
Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, is the practice of walking in woodland, mindfully.
It’s taking in all the elements of nature with your senses and being present in the moment, quieting the mind and deepening your connection with nature.
Shinrin-yoku is the Japanese way of saying ‘forest bathing’.
The phrase was coined in the 1980s, when in Japan they realised people were starting to feel stressed in an increasingly urbanised world. To combat this, natural prescriptions were given to walk and to spend time among trees.
